OVERVIEW
The Boise Metro Chamber is Idaho’s only five-star Chamber and it is among only 174 Chamber’s with the designation nationwide. It is a non-profit, membership-based organization that represents the voice of diverse Treasure Valley/Idaho businesses. The Chamber provides programs and services to its members and the community through four core areas (economic vitality, advocacy, member education, and member engagement) to support local business growth and prosperity.
The Boise Metro Chamber’s Marketing & Communications Department develops a variety of promotional and informational products in support of the Chamber’s mission. This WorkU position is an excellent opportunity for someone hoping to strengthen their marketing resume with varied exposure to public relations, event planning, social media, e-newsletters, print collateral, SEO, and experience with a non-profit organization. It is a fantastic launching point into a full-time career with opportunities to connect with local business leaders and attend educational events for professional growth. Plus we have a lot of fun!
OPPORTUNITY/PROJECT DUTIES:
Assist with fulfillment of the Chamber’s marketing strategy through:
- Planning, facilitating, networking, and documenting Chamber events.
- Writing press releases, blogs, newsletters, photography, videos, reels, social media posts, graphic design, and more!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to learn programs and practices utilized by this department Experience with Microsoft, Canva and Adobe products preferred
- A creative thinker who is team-oriented
SKILLS YOU WILL DEVELOP:
- Website management and SEO experience
- Marketing and social media strategy, branding & design
- Networking with local business leaders and fellow Chamber members
