
Engineer 2, Broadcast Engineering
Core Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and maintenance for macOS and Linux-based production environments.
- Maintains network quality, minimize customer outages and communicate technical issues and solutions in daily shift reports and pass-down meetings.
- Tunes and trouble-shoots various types of IP and fiber decoders/encoders.
- Insures a clean and dust free environment in all technical areas. Maintains the integrity of the system wiring and documentation.
- Coordinates and supports internally and externally run company broadcast events. Provides assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture and the development of technical standards for video over IP.
- Provides basic resolution for routine network problems, coordination of support of end user problems, occasionally direct end user support for executives.
- Contributes to projects supporting the implementation, operations and management of the real time, network-computing infrastructure.
- Installs and repairs broadcast operations equipment as needed.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in IT systems administration or engineering, particularly with macOS and Linux.
- Experience with backend systems in media or production environments.
- Experience with JAMF or similar Apple device management tools preferred; ability to support and manage macOS and iOS devices in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
