Web Development Intern at Idaho Youth Ranch

Overview of Organization: Idaho Youth Ranch is a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency that offers emergency shelter, residential care, youth and family therapy, job readiness training, adoption services,  and more for kids and their families. We also operate a network of thrift stores that help fund our youth programs and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and refine existing web pages to ensure consistent design, format and SEO efforts across all websites  
  • Develop a suite of customizable modules and templates for campaign landing pages and new content pages
  • Collaborate with marketing team to optimize and grow website traffic
  • Develop a style guide for data visualization to ensure consistency in company reports and presentations

Qualifications / Applicant Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a web design, digital communications, or related program preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Hubspot, Javascript, CSS and HTML preferred, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of web design principles and user experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Skills intern will develop:

  • Advanced web coding and SEO development
  • Cross-platform design adaptation (web, mobile and tablet)
  • Web optimization for performance and user experience
  • Accessibility and inclusive web practices

Additional Requirements (such as a background check that is administered by your organization, drug testing, etc.)

  • All interns will complete an application and background check (Idaho Youth Ranch will provide) before starting.
