Overview

The Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in the state of Idaho. Interns help move our mission forward by sharing stories, capturing moments, and amplifying our impact. We unite for Idaho’s youth by providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience.

Opportunity/Project Duties

  • Assist with creating engaging social media content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Support video and photo projects for campaigns, events, and community engagement.
  • Capture and edit light video and photography for digital storytelling.
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and track performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaign ideas and execution.
  • Help maintain content calendars and brainstorm creative strategies to reach target audiences.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative, while seeking input and guidance from mentor as needed.
  • Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Basic photography and/or video editing experience is a plus.

Skills You Will Develop

  • Social media management and content creation.
  • Digital storytelling through photography and video.
  • Brand-building strategies and marketing campaign execution.
  • Collaboration with cross-departmental teams in a mission-driven nonprofit.

Requirements

Idaho Youth Ranch requires a general background check and will facilitate this process.
