Marketing Intern at JEMfriends

Overview JEMfriends, Boise, Idaho, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing opportunities of growth and stability for at-risk youth, ages 18-24 years. JEMfriends supports underserved youth who are experiencing homelessness or have aged out of the foster care system. JEMfriends works through our Independent Living Program, housing, Life Skills Classes, and mentorship to create positive outcomes for at-risk youth.

Summary of Position: JEMfriends Marketing Interns are a vital part of telling the stories of the youth we serve and thereby changing the future of at-risk youth in the Treasure Valley. The Marketing Intern contributes to and supports the Marketing team. The Marketing Intern reports to the Community Engagement Coordinator.

Opportunity/Project Duties

  • Contribute to developing and executing a marketing plan
  • Complete projects related to branding, content creation, and social media marketing
  • Explore unique and creative ways to increase our audience
  • Express creativity through design projects
  • Support in planning and accomplishing an awareness or fundraising campaign

  • Design insight and content creation skills
  • Self-motivated and hardworking
  • Curious, fast-learning, and resourceful

Skills you will develop:

  • Planning, developing, and executing marketing plans
  • Communication and storytelling skills
  • Project management
