Overview:
Trailhead is the hub for all things entrepreneurial in Boise, providing downtown co-working space, educational programs, mentorship, fundraising opportunities, and networking to Boise’s entrepreneurs and business professionals. Trailhead’s coworking space is also used to host professional events such as launch parties, networking, workshops, group meetings, and galas.
As an Operations and Events Intern, you will play a key role in coordinating, planning, and implementing Trailhead events like Boise Entrepreneur Week, Boise Pitch Night, Founders Roundup, and client events! This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office operations and event planning while contributing to an event space that has become an invaluable resource for the entrepreneurial community in Boise.
Opportunity/Project Duties:
- Assist with event planning, coordination, and implementation of events, including logistics, vendor management, and scheduling
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful event
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup and tear down
- Manage the daily operations of the coworking space, including office maintenance and member management.
- Complete special projects to improve member experience, event coordination, and office operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with customer service, event planning and coordination
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and identify opportunities
- Ability to work independently and with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Preferably on a study path related to business, marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field (not a requirement)

- Event coordination and logistics management

- Vendor and sponsor relations and management
- On-site event management and execution
Additional Student Requirements (if applicable):
- Reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings, in-person shifts, and events at our downtown Boise office location.
- Flexible availability in the evenings (5:00-9:00 pm)
- A quality laptop
- Experience with Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Forms
- Physically able to lift and slide furniture such as chairs, tables and desks.
