WOW Organization Marketing & Events intern

Internship Title: WOW Organization Marketing & Events intern

WOW is a student club that reaches across disciplines to strengthen confidence, knowledge and the workplace community for our students. WOW hosts workshops and events that bring together successful leaders in our community to create dialogue, share knowledge, and network with. 

Internship Location:  
Boise State College of Business & Economics and College of Health Sciences
80% of the internship can be completed remotely


Internship Description: This position will work with two colleges on campus. The College of Business and Economics and the College of Health Sciences. This is a great opportunity to work broadly across the campus. WOW is hosted out of these two colleges but is designed to be a campus-wide community. WOW has held several on campus events for students, faculty, staff, and the community. WOW would like to continue in this way. 

This position will assist WOW with major events, a rebranding of WOW, which currently stands for Women of the Workplace, but yet; our events have all been for all students (with the exception of one event). We want WOW to represent our inclusiveness and focus on enhancing Boise State students professional success. 

The local community recognizes WOW as a local brand and often seeks us out as a partner. We want to maintain that through the rebrand. The rebrand includes: Naming, changes to some of our logos, Facebook page, Instagram, and website. 

As we conduct the Fall event, this position will assist with all the logistics and planning. This event is going to feature local leaders speaking to Boise State students, Boise Young Professionals, and other local groups. 

Recruiting new members and community partners is also required. Recruiting includes, but is not limited to - attracting, meeting/interviewing, identifying student leaders, and ENGAGING all members. 

Laura and Shelle are excited to work with this individual and will also assist them in finding a business mentor (inside Boise State, or in the local community)
