Adult MH & Addictions Director (PEM/G)

What you will do!
You will provide vision and direction to the $2.0 billion adult mental health and addiction treatment system!
You will provide leadership and advocacy in the development of statewide adult mental health and addiction treatment policies and services!
You will provide leadership for Oregon’s adult behavioral health system by convening needed work groups and task forces and initiating action steps!
You will provide direction and leadership for all initiatives related to adult behavioral health services in response to legislative or administrative directives!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Six years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for each of the following: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation.

  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
  • Recent, relevant knowledge of Oregon’s continuum of treatment for adults with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness.
  • Recent, relevant knowledge of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health and substance use treatment in adults.
  • Working knowledge of civil commitment, guilty except for insanity and fitness to proceed laws and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of service delivery systems.
  • Working knowledge of payor types.
  • Understanding of evidence- based practices.
  • Understanding of peer delivered services.
  • Understanding of methodologies for addressing issues related to vulnerable and underserved populations.
  • Experience with establishment or revisions of agency policies and procedures.
