RADAR Center Student Office and/or Website Support Worker and/or Social Media Specialist

The Regional Alcohol Drug Awareness Resource (RADAR) Center is a center under the Institute for the Study of Behavioral Health and Addiction at Boise State University. RADAR provides resource support materials (print and video) to anyone living in Idaho seeking resources to aid in the prevention, treatment and recovery of substance use disorders. All RADAR print resources are no-cost and video loans are up to three weeks.

The RADAR student worker will provide excellent customer service to patrons by supporting general office functions. These functions include greeting and assisting walk-in patrons, filling patron orders for materials, inventory tracking, ordering inventory from federal clearinghouses, stocking shelves, data entry (Excel/Google Sheets), creating documents, proof reading, and website support. The student worker in this position will take the lead in assisting with video loan management and website support by adding events, links and products as directed using Boise State website guidelines. RADAR is currently operating under a hybrid work model where some work is completed remotely and other work is done in the office. Customer service and Word/Google Suite experience is a plus.

The RADAR website is on the Boise State University WordPress platform and uses WooCommerce to manage inventory and web orders. Experience with WordPress or other website software is desirable, but training will be provided. See the website at www.boisestate.edu/radar and radarcart.boisestate.edu/library.

Students with professional experience of posting on social media are also encouraged to apply.

Multiple students may be hired so each can focus only on one area highlighted above.
