Forensic (PSRB) Utilization Coordinator

Are you familiar with Forensic Treatment Programs and PSRB or SHRP? Do you have Mental Health Treatment experience and a desire to assist with their release into the community? Do you have the knowledge to analyze, interpret and apply laws, rules, or agency policies to assure compliance for licensing, certification and program specific requirements? What you will do!
You will provide utilization reviews of individual needs and movement through the forensic system of care!
You will make presentations orally and in writing to explain policy, procedure, provide training and technical assistance!
You will provide utilization reviews of individual needs and movement through the forensic system of care, with a specific focus on Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB)!
You will investigate regulatory situations to decide compliance, develop procedural changes, develop standards and procedures that guide enforcement activities, and develop program goals, objectives and action plans!
You will provide contract management for service elements, identify regulatory or legislative changes, and develop program compliance criteria through policy, rules, contracts, or other requirements for program success!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Minimum Qualifications
·        Five years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations.
o  Three of the five years must be above the technical support level. (Specific technical knowledge as it relates to mental health treatment systems and programs including knowledge of research-based and effective treatment services.)
o  College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.
 
Special Qualifications
·        Bachelors Degree and three years of experience in mental health treatment settings, or a Master’s Degree in mental health field plus at least one year of treatment experience.
 
Requested Skills
·        Experience in creating and maintaining a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity among team members and the people we serve.
·        A certification or license in counseling or a related field is preferred.
·        Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
·        Demonstrated knowledge of the mental health system in the State of Oregon.
·        Ability to complete bill analysis relevant to Forensic issues in the State of Oregon.
·        Experience in developing and acquiring relevant data, analyzing, and applying information in the evaluation of programs and services related to the forensic system in the State of Oregon.
·        Possession of a valid Driver License and acceptable driving record.
