Instructional Design Spring/Summer Intern
Job Description:
Duration – 15-20/hours per week (flexible) through June 30, 2021
$19.32 - $24.35 Hourly

We are seeking a Training Intern to join our Human Resources Unit at the Oregon Department of Education. The Oregon Department of Education supports Oregon’s children from age 0-24. We currently employ over 650 employees who work to ensure that all children and families have access to services, supports and opportunities.
A day in the life:
- Assist the Training and Development Specialist with the Learning Management System Replacement Project
- Create, review, and proofread training materials
- Schedule and process training offerings including data entry, processing sign ups, creating virtual meetings, sending calendar reminders, etc
- Data entry in the new Learning Management System
- Developing eLearning training materials
- Delivering existing virtual trainings, such as Interview Panel Training and New Employee Orientation
What you will learn:
- Articulate 360: you will have the opportunity to create and edit training materials, videos, and other materials in the Articulate Software Suite
- Deliver Virtual Training: you will have the opportunity to shadow during virtual training opportunities, with the option to deliver trainings to both agency and community partners
- Networking/Mentorship: work alongside and learn from our Training and Development Specialist, and network with other members of the Learning Management System Replacement Project team
- Virtual Portfolio: develop and refine your virtual portfolio
We are looking for candidates with:
- Must be enrolled at least half-time in college with desired degree programs: Education, Communications, Human Resources
- A demonstrated interested in training, development, and instructional design
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, using skills such as collaboration, active listening, giving/receiving feedback. Ability to also work independently when needed.
