  • The Role: Market Intelligence – Finance Intern

  • The Location: Virtual - VA
  • The Team: This role will support the Market Intelligence Finance teams that support our revenue, analytics and business support. The primary stakeholders of our team are the product, segment and commercial leadership however all members of MI interested in our top line performance and drivers are stakeholders to our team. 
  • The Impact: Learning from data to make more informed decisions is a key value proposition of our data for our clients. The same is true for our internal data and we are looking to execute on several data discovery analytical projects to improve decision making. These projects will aim to directly support top line revenue growth.

  • Work on a project that has the goal of leading to tangible outcomes for business decisions
  • Experience running a project somewhat autonomously and ability to present to senior members of finance department on findings

  • Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
  • S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $10.75/hour to $38/hour. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Understand scope and objective by project by asking exploratory and clarifying questions
  • Gather relevant data sources, run and iterate on analysis
  • Build repeatable method for analysis to be run
  • Present findings to leadership including key data points missing to make analysis more impactful
  •  
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficient in excel and comfortable with large data sets
  • Comfortable with analysis techniques such as regression, MAPE, ANOVA, decision trees
  • Hard worker with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work with limited direction towards a defined timeline and end goal
