Transportation Policy Intern

The Bay Area Council is seeking an intern to provide research, analytical, communications, marketing, planning, and administrative support for its transportation policy team. 

Assignments may range from public policy research and analysis, program design, market research, foundation funding analysis and requests, website content development, social media creation, event management, database development and advocacy. Should be able to communicate (written and orally) Bay Area Council positions effectively and convincingly to Bay Area Council members, prospective members, public officials, advocacy organizations, opinion leaders, voters, and citizens at large, as well as prepare written reports, memos, letters, newsletters, emails, web-site content, op-ed pieces, speeches, and PowerPoint presentations to advance Bay Area Council policy priorities.

Intern will have the opportunity to attend Council events and policy committee meetings to see first-hand how the Council and its business leaders engage with stakeholder groups in shaping the future of public policy in the region.

The work environment will be 100% remote. The internship is unpaid; however, academic credit will be offered.
