Alturas Overview – Marketing Internship

Alturas Ventures is a division of Alturas focused on early stage investing, acquiring new companies, and community engagement. This internship is a unique opportunity for interns to help develop infrastructure around our investing engine. 

 What to Expect 

▪ Pays a starting wage of $15 / hr 

▪ A workload that requires personal ownership and initiative 

▪ Interns’ duties will be focused primarily on marketing and graphic design 

▪ Interns will have exposure to portfolio management, community engagement, and our growth initiatives 

Job Responsibilities 

▪ Content creation for social media, press releases, and website maintenance 

▪ Work with Alturas Ventures team to brainstorm and prioritize new projects related to marketing 

▪ Build the Built in Idaho community (www.builtinidaho.org) 

▪ Create strategies to build the Alturas brand and portfolio company brands 

▪ Assist in designing the quarterly and annual Idaho Deal Flow Reports (www.idahodealflow.com) 

Required Qualifications 

▪ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite 

▪ Strong familiarity with MS Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 

▪ Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program during the time of the internship 

▪ Flexibility to work on-site in Eagle, Idaho for the Fall 2021 Semester 

▪ Strong positive attitude and willingness to solve for ambiguity 

▪ Willingness to hit the ground running, take ownership, and engage in the work 

▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

▪ Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in both written and verbal communication 

▪ Prior finance or startup internship experiences are an advantage
