Part time Medical Assistant | APB Medical

Part time medical assistant needed for primary care medical office practice near downtown St Luke's hospital. Ideal for a pre Med, pre PA, or pre nursing student to gain hands on experience, approximately 20 hours per week, ( M/T 8:30- 4:00 W/Th 8:30-1:00) some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate class schedule. CNA or medical background a plus but willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, obtaining a short medical history, obtaining vital signs , entering data into electronic medical record, setting up exam rooms, assisting with minor procedures, administering vaccinations (will train) , drawing blood for labs (will train), scheduling appointments and diagnostic tests, communicating test results to patients, scanning documents and answering phones as needed,
