Student Assistant, Animal Care

The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) in the Division of Research & Economic Development is seeking interested applicants for a student assistant in our animal care program.

Job Duties:
  • Assist with daily animal husbandry and care tasks.
  • Keep detailed records on animal care tasks and maintenance activities.
  • Clean and sanitize facilities and equipment.
  • Perform other office duties as assigned.
  • Assist with research projects as needed.


ORC needs someone who reliable, customer service oriented, and organized with a strong attention to detail. This position will interact with faculty, staff and students on a professional level.

This position can work up to 20 hours per week. The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; be able to multi-task; establish work priorities; and perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight.

Preference will be given to students seeking year-round employment. This position is non-workstudy and workstudy eligible.
