Job Description:
The TRIO ACES tutor is expected to provide one-on-one support to student(s) enrolled in the TRIO ACES program.
- The tutor and student will meet with a TRIO ACES staff member to complete a tutoring agreement form prior to setting up one-on-one tutoring sessions.
- Tutoring sessions should be on campus unless the student requests an online meeting.
- Tutoring sessions should consist of the tutor assisting the student in understanding key concepts from the course.
- The student will be expected to arrive at the tutoring session with a specific set of questions or a general idea of what they want to work on during the session.
- Students needing academic assistance with concerns that are not related to learning the course content should be referred back to TRIO ACES for assistance from their designated coach.
- The tutor will submit a weekly progress report to TRIO ACES.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Have achieved a grade of a B or higher in the course(s) or an equivalent course you are assigned to tutor.
- Be enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate credits or 5 graduate credits at Boise State
