Health Promotion & Marketing Intern

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Collaborate with internal ‘clients’ to design outreach/communication campaigns on a variety of topics
  • Establish stakeholders and communicate with them across scope of project
  • Research and gather information
  • Work with team to design, produce and distribute health promotion and communication resources including fact sheets, newsletters, guidelines, webinars, web content, social media, and publications for a lay audience
  • Assist in gathering information on effectiveness of campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned and supervised
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with others as part of a team.
  • Ability to read diverse, sometimes complex, medical topics and present them in easy-to-understand consumer-based communication style.
  • Familiarity with COVID-19 and other public health topics
  • Experience in health promotion and disease prevention is a plus
  • Experience with health education approaches, including designing communications that impart complex information understandable by a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of community resources and how to utilize them
  • Commitment to health equity promotion practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office platforms strongly desired.
  • Basic graphic design or digital video editing skills a plus.

This is a Bronco Corps Internship

* Must be a current Boise State student, enrolled in classes
* Cannot exceed 29 hours per week (this includes other on-campus employment)
* $14/hour up to 160 hours
