Operations and Special Projects Intern

About Us
The Idaho Manufacturing Alliance (IMA) is a 501c6 membership organization that exists to connect, support, and promote Idaho manufacturers. IMA's workforce development initiatives have been formalized under a 501c3 called Forging Futures Idaho (FFI). The IMA and FFI, both being non-profits, have numerous daily operational needs and special projects, usually event planning, that we need assistance with.

Projects that may fall under the tasks assigned with this internship include:

  • Supporting our annual Coolest Thing Made in Idaho contest (Sept/October)
  • Helping plan and execute our annual Tradeshow and Conference (tentatively December 2nd)
  • Providing support for other workshops, learning events, etc.
  •  Helping with marketing communications and social media

The person who decides to support the IMA and FFI will have varied tasks and no two days will be the same. You will be an important addition to our small team and will gain skills and experience in small business, non-profit, marketing, communications, event planning and execution, member/customer service/engagement, and strategic planning.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience in social media
  • Adobe Suite experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This is a Bronco Corps Internship

* The program is designed to connect students to internship opportunities in our community - students are paid for their work by Boise State University rather than the organization or business. This is our commitment to helping our business community overcome challenges due to COVID.

Are you eligible for this position?
* Must be a current Boise State student, enrolled in classes
* Cannot exceed 29 hours per week (this includes other on-campus employment)
* $14/hour up to 160 hours
