Business Operations Internship



HELP PROTECT & RESTORE IDAHO’S RIVERS 
  
 
DESCRIPTION
For Summer 2022, Boise-based regional nonprofit Snake River Waterkeeper seeks to hire a Boise State University student enrolled in the MBA program or a junior/senior undergraduate studying marketing or communications to plan and implement local business and social media outreach strategies to engage members and Treasure Valley residents in our advocacy work protecting the Snake River. This is a paid position provided by Bronco Corp.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and implement sponsorship promotions for Boise-area businesses, outfitters, local supporters and donors;
• Plan and implement nonprofit marketing and organizational visibility promotions for Treasure Valley retailers;
• Lead SWIM Guide site enhancements to online map, website, and promotional materials;
• Work with local vendors and businesses to distribute informational flyers and raise awareness of SWIM Guide;
• Work remotely with SWIM DRINK FISH staff at Ontario, Canada SWIM Guide headquarters to improve user experiences, increase Snake River site efficiency and provide consistency across SWIM Guide sites worldwide;
• Assist in developing and implementing additional original marketing activities.
Requirements:
• Pursing a degree in marketing, communications, sales or equivalent with 2+ years’ marketing related working experience, including but not limited to retail marketing, sales, digital marketing, and training.
• Self-starting and creative problem solver 
• Competent in online engagement and able to generate creative ideas for app and online resource promotion;
• Strategic thinker with constructive and positive communication skills;
• Excellent English writing and speaking (conversational Spanish optional but preferred);
• Responsive, accountable, results-oriented, and focused.

Students with exceptional resumes and high GPA who have completed relevant coursework will be given priority, but any student with a strong interest in water quality and environmental issues is encouraged to apply, as multiple positions are available. Course credits may be available depending on University guidelines and requirements.
