Event Coordination - Work U Fall 2023

Overview:
Trailhead is the hub for all things entrepreneurial in Boise, providing downtown co-working space, educational programs, mentorship, fundraising opportunities, and networking to Boise’s entrepreneurs and business professionals. 

Our flagship event, Boise Entrepreneur Week, is the largest entrepreneurial event in Idaho and one of the largest in the West. It’s a high-energy, community-powered 5-day event celebrating and building Idaho’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event features a variety of workshops, keynotes, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and social events, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders to share ideas and insights, connect with one another, and celebrate the vibrant entrepreneurial community in Boise.

As an Event Coordination Intern, you will play a key role in coordinating, planning, and implementing Boise Entrepreneur Week. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning while contributing to a dynamic and impactful event that has become a cornerstone of the entrepreneurial community in Boise.

Opportunity/Project Duties:
  • Assist with event planning, coordination, and implementation of Boise Entrepreneur Week, including logistics, vendor management, and scheduling
  • Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure a successful event
  • Provide on-site support during Boise Entrepreneur Week events

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with event planning and coordination
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and identify opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferably on a study path related to business, marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field (not a requirement)

Additional Student Requirements (if applicable):
  • Reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings and events at our downtown Boise office location.
  • Availability to work some evenings during Boise Entrepreneur Week in the Fall of 2023.
  • A quality laptop for remote work.
