Learning and Development Internship - Work U
Overview: St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho is looking for a Learning and Development Intern through the Work U Program. St. Vincent de Paul is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preventing homelessness in our community. The person in this role will gain exclusive insight into the community education and promotion necessary for continued growth and advancement in the nonprofit sector.
Duties will include:
You will help update and maintain the learning management system. This role will allow you to expand your knowledge of working with a learning management system, developing, designing, and implementing new adult eLearning courses, creating an eLearning course evaluation, and working with the Learning and Development Coordinator on additional projects (instructional design, eLearning process, etc.)
A successful Work U student will be:
- Ready to contribute to creating new adult eLearning courses while working on updating and maintaining the learning management system.
- Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to developing new adult eLearning courses creating job aids, and gathering content for the new courses.
- Focused on expanding on the Learning & Development eLearning courses, the learning management system, and creating a learning evaluation of eLearning courses.
- Detail-oriented, willing to work outside the box.
- Self-starter and independent
Skills you will develop:
- Experience within the nonprofit sector
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing interactive eLearning assets for internal employees.
- Experience with creating an eLearning course from the beginning to the end.
- Experience with using a learning management system
If applicable, please let us know of any other onboarding requirements (ex., you require a drug test, background check, etc.) that will be needed for your Work U student(s):
- Primary in-person locations will be at St. Vincent de Paul State Street Store & St. Vincent de Paul Admin Offices on Fairview Ave.
- Reliable transportation to the Main Admin office (5256 W. Fairview) and all St. Vincent de Paul locations (spread from SE Boise to Caldwell) is needed
- Personal laptop required for work
- When at State Street Store, the workspace will be in shared spaces
