Overview:
The Idaho Wine Commission supports Idaho's wine grape growers and winemakers. The Idaho Wine Commission acts as the united voice for the Idaho wine industry, helping to grow awareness and sales of Idaho wines. Idaho wines are high quality, an important part of Idaho's economy and growing and developing. Internship tasks will range from event planning assistance and social media promotion, to office assistance. You are especially encouraged to apply if you have multimedia skills, are comfortable with verbal communication, and eager to learn more about event planning and the Idaho agriculture industry.
Project Duties:
- Annual Meeting (AM) Assistance
- Event preparation may include:
- Working with all Annual Meeting speakers & zoom coordination
- Introduction of staff & board members
- Helping confirm guest speakers
- Assist with the registration process
- Virtual/mailed welcome packets
- Assisting with audio/visual of the virtual conference
- Working with exhibitors to create virtual breakout sessions/rooms
- Helping with virtual check in
- Confirming exhibitors
- Travel coordination for (some) guest speakers
- Attend meeting and provide on site assistance as needed
- Thank you notes to speakers
- 2024 Savor Idaho Preparations
- Sponsors communication
- Organizing supplies
- Confirmation of wineries, exhibitors, food vendors via phone/emails
- Verifying permits
- Work with and help organize team of volunteers
- Assistance with consumer emails and questions about event
- Working with photographer/videographer
- Attend event and provide on site assistance as needed
- Various errands
General Office Duties
- Telephone and email communication with wineries or consumers as needed
- Document creation using a variety of programs
- Organization of supplies between events
- Monitoring intern emails
- Monitoring tour brochure requests
- Monitoring growers information email requests
- Add industry events to website on a regular basis
- Attend meeting with vendors / contractors / etc in a supportive role
Qualifications:
- Personable
- Works well in a small office setting and team environment
- Organized & Flexible
- Outgoing personality
- Willing to work in a fast paced environment and is excited to learn more about event management
- Self starter who takes initiative
- Can complete a directed task with little to no oversight
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of Google office suite, Canva, Eventbrite (desired but not required)

Additional Student Requirements:
- Valid Driver's license
- Must have own vehicle and be willing to drive around Boise / Treasure Valley for job duties / meetings / events
Age 21 or older by January 1, 2024 required
