Behavioral Health Intern - Work U
The Behavioral Health team is comprised of multidisciplinary staff including Nurses, Social Workers, and Utilization Management staff who work collaboratively to support, provide benefits education, and monitor utilization of services for members. The team is focused on supporting the member, addressing gaps in care, and ensuring the member’s identified needs are addressed.
Opportunity/Project Duties:
- Assess gaps in care and resource needs across the United States.
- Gather, update, and input behavioral health resources across the United States.
- Make initial outreach phone calls to members discharging from inpatient levels of care, with ability to provide empathy and warmth during the call.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with Behavioral Health Clinicians, Physicians, Case Managers and members/ their family.
- Find opportunities for improving efficiencies in work process.
- Responsibilities will differ if student holds active behavioral health related license; we can cater to a more robust experience in this case.
