Digital Marketing & Design Intern - Greater Heights Marketing (remote)

Are you a creative and tech-savvy student passionate about making a real impact in the world of digital marketing and design? Join Greater Heights Marketing as a Digital Marketing and Design Intern! Based in Boise, Idaho, this internship offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in web design, branding, logo design, social media management, email marketing, event planning and blogging.

Opportunity/Project Duties:

• Social Media Management - Create a social media content plan for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest that includes 3 posts per week to promote our services and engage with our audience. Develop an engagement strategy and come up with ideas for Instagram reels.
• Email Marketing - Assist in the development of a weekly or monthly email newsletter (created via Flodesk). Come up with new ideas for freebies to attract new email subscribers.
• Web Design - Learn how to design websites (on platforms such as Wordpress + Elementor, Shopify, Squarespace and Showit).
• Logo Design - Help with logo design creation for clients using Adobe Illustrator.
• Branding - Utilize Canva to assist in creating detailed brand guides and mood boards for clients. May also include designing flyers, brochures, banners, backdrops, business cards or other branded materials. Learn how to use Adobe Photoshop to create mockups to display finished client work.
• Event Planning - Provide assistance in planning upcoming marketing workshops.
• Blog Post Writing - Come up with blog post topics and gain experience writing blog posts on Wordpress.

Qualifications:

• Creativity - You are very creative and have an interest in design.
• High Attention to Detail - Must possess a high attention to detail and be willing to adapt to feedback.
• Personable - Must be personable, friendly and have a positive attitude.
• Tech Savvy - In order to be successful in this position, you must be tech savvy and comfortable with computers.
• Eye for Design - If you aren’t skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Photoshop and web design platforms, that’s okay! But you need to have an eye for design and know when something looks good vs. when something needs to be improved.

Skills you will develop:

• Learn what is needed to run a successful design business
• Gain experience designing with various tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva and web design platforms
• Become comfortable creating and writing content for social media, email marketing and a blog
