Marketing and Design Intern - Camp River Run (remote)

Overview: 

The intern at Camp River Run will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and community engagement. This position is designed to provide real-world experience in various aspects of marketing, including social media management, graphic design, and merchandise design.

 

Possible Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Management (40% of the time): The intern will create, curate, and manage content across our social media platforms. This involves developing a content calendar, designing posts, engaging with our audience, and analyzing the impact of various campaigns.
  2. Graphic Design (30% of the time): The intern will design visual content for digital and print media. This includes creating graphics for social media, newsletters, brochures, and other marketing materials that align with our brand identity.
  3. Merchandise Design (20% of the time): A unique aspect of this role is designing merchandise, mainly t-shirts. The intern will be able to bring creative ideas to life, from concept to production, that reflects the spirit of Camp River Run.
  4. Team Collaboration and Professional Development (10% of the time):** The intern will participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and receive mentorship. They will learn about the non-profit sector and gain insights into effective marketing strategies.

 

Qualifications:

Background check is required.

  • Enthusiasm for Non-Profit Work: A genuine interest in contributing to a non-profit organization and its mission to support children and families. Willingness to engage in activities that promote community well-being.
  • Basic Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with digital tools and platforms, particularly social media. While advanced skills are not mandatory, a willingness to learn and adapt to various digital marketing tools is essential.
  • Creative and Analytical Thinking: An ability to think creatively for tasks such as designing marketing materials and merchandise. Analytical thinking is also valued for assessing the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are important for creating engaging content and collaborating with team members and the community.
  • Organizational Skills: Basic organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, especially since the role involves working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and openness to work in a dynamic environment, including the ability to adapt to virtual collaboration through platforms like Google Meet.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with Camp River Run staff and other stakeholders, contributing positively to a team environment.
