Marketing & Communications Intern - Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho

Overview

Our mission is to keep families close and support the families who child maybe ill or injured in the hospital. We offer several programs the House, Family Room in Idaho Falls, and several Happy Wheels carts within the hospitals. Our communications are extremely important to share our message, highlight volunteer opportunities, and support the families utilizing our programs. 

Opportunities/Project Duties

  • Work with Communications team to develop a digital marketing calendar for the current year that supports the marketing and event’s calendars.
  • Create and present reports detailing insights that will help track effectiveness and drive digital marketing content strategies.
  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Assist in planning, writing, and managing e-blasts and e-newsletters.  
  • Work with Marketing Committee and staff members to understand digital and print marketing strategies that will meet RMHC of Idaho objectives.
  • Identify trends and engagement on social media platforms using a social media tracker.
  • Assist on influencer campaign strategy.
  • Assist with collateral pieces. 

The successful Work U student will:

  • Experience with digital and social platforms. 
  • Verbal and writing communication skills
  • Able to multitask
  • Interested and supportive of our mission. 
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design a plus but not required

Skills you will develop

  • Learning campaign  building from strategic planning, building materials, A/B testing and evaluation results, review and understand segments and assist with building social media processes and style.
