Overview: The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force has been fighting hunger statewide for the past 19 years. We are a small organization, but mighty. We all have passion for what we do. We are looking for someone that shares that passion to help others. Someone that will go above and beyond to make a difference for our low income families in Idaho. We all work remotely, with zoom staff meetings weekly and then in person staff meetings monthly. We work independently, so organization skills are a must, great communication skills. This person will be responsible to oversee the fundraising efforts of the Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force. This coordinator may be tasked with donor relationships.
Opportunity/Project:
- Work with a team of other professionals to develop and implement strategies that will raise money for our organization.
- This might include developing plans for how these individuals can best contribute to the organization's goals, as well as coordinating events or meetings where they can engage with one another.
- Provide donor relations
- Create fundraising campaigns
- Maintain fundraising platforms and databases
- Prepare reports on donor activity
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Compassion and ability to relate to different clients with various needs
- Organizational skills are needed to manage several different projects at once.
- Ability to use experience, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to adapt current practices to new situations and select the best course of action.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals
Skills to be developed:
- Learn how to work in a non-profit organizational setting. This student will value the time they spend learning from the executive director, fundraiser and staff.
- Learn how to navigate the nonprofit world, as well as the root causes of hunger in Idaho. People that provide work in the hunger arena are a unique group of people that have the passion for caring for others.
- Work with Excel datasheet to maintain data with HIPAA compliance.
- Manage a specific volunteer project.
