PTH - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Intern / Data Analytics & Application Development

The Clark County Finance/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Technical Intern position in the Data Analytics and Application/Web Development teams.  This position will perform a variety of duties including learning the SAP development process, developing and completing assigned project work and working alongside various teams that support the Financial and HR business process in the SAP application. 

  • Please Note: Part-time employment will not lead to permanent employment. Part-time hourly employees are used to fill positions normally less than twenty (20) hours per week. Part-time employees do not receive benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:
Holds a Bachelor's or Master's OR is a current student in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or Data Analytics.

Licensing and Certification:
Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at the time of appointment.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon the results of a background investigation. 

Pre-Employment Drug Testing:
Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.

Working Conditions:
Monday through Thursday during normal business hours.  Maximum of 20 hours per week.

 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Gain experience in learning about the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP software environment.  Develop teamwork skills working alongside with the various teams of the ERP office.  Gain an understanding of ERP’s development standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as ERP Change Control process.  Performs simple applications modifications through programming or creation and staging of data for assigned project in support of County business services.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Specified positions may be required to lift or move heavy materials and/or drive a motor vehicle.
