Sales Agency Intern

Sales Agency Intern (Summer 2024)

 

OVERVIEW 

CROSSMARK is a leading sales and marketing agency that partners with top tier consumer packaged goods companies and nationwide retailers. We are looking for motivated team players to join our team as a sales intern to assist in various stages of the sales funnel as well as engage on special projects to help push the industry forward. As a sales intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on challenging, meaningful projects within a fast-paced, ever-changing industry and participate in leadership round tables, lunch and learns, and be supported by an assigned mentor. Each intern can expect to own a key strategic project and be exposed to opportunities to develop product marketing, communications, strategic thinking, project management, and selling skills. Also, each intern will be required to present their summer capstone to a committee of CROSSMARK executive leadership and industry partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Business Account Manager(s) and others in the development of targeted strategic client plans to build effective and efficient brand promotion strategies and strengthen brand activation based on customer knowledge. 
  • Help to develop new product offerings by partnering with cross functional teams to scope and price, create and maintain various marketing campaigns, and report on success. 
  • Research product features, competitive landscape, market trends and customer profiles as needed. Provide proposals and recommendations. 
  • Test and learn campaigns, sales strategies, etc. using appropriate methodology. 
  • Use data to understand trends, prove out results and determine costing structures as applicable.

  • PC, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) proficiency 
  • Effective communication skills, including a willingness to prospect externally to new and returning business customers. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and research skills 
  • Detail-oriented and team player. 
  • Courageous. Being on the phone does not scare you. 
  • Resilient. 
  • You have a track record of growth in an entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Motivated and a self-starter. Able to understand scope of work and can manage to target vs requiring daily tasks. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Compensation:

This is a paid summer internship lasting for approximately 9 weeks. The position has an hourly wage. 

 

Education: Completion of junior year of college entering senior year; prefer some college courses preferred in marketing, sales, and/or business administration. 

Experience: No prior experience required. But professional work experience is highly recommended. Desire to learn B2B sales and ability to participate in sales functions (i.e., cold calling, prospective outreach, email campaigns, etc. is required) 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Working Conditions: Office Environment based out of our corporate HQ in Lewisville, TX. Minimal travel to trade show(s) or field offices for role enhancement possible. 

Language Skills: English is the primary language skill.
