JOB SUMMARY

Kutak Rock LLP has an opportunity in its Financial Systems team for a Financial Systems Intern. This exciting position allows the qualified student to gain hands-on experience in learning the different aspects of working with Information Systems in the firm’s Accounting and Finance Department. Through the internship, the qualified student will learn how to provide technical support and system administration for the firm’s financial reporting system utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and designing reports using SSRS with SQL (Structed Query Language).
This is a paid temporary internship which will last 4-6 weeks, July to August 2024.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Develop skills writing and developing code
  •  Assist with configuration and maintenance of financial system software
  •  Document process and procedure
  •  Participate in financial systems and finance projects
  •  Provide technical support by assisting end-users in troubleshooting software
  •  Respond to service desk tickets and provide timely resolutions to technical problems
  •  Design reports using SSRS with SQL (Structured Query Language)

 

 QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities

  •  Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  •  Basic understanding of coding languages 
  •  Comfortable working with technical matters and staff on a continual basis
  •  Self-motivated and ability to work independently and as a team member
  •  Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
  •  Ability to apply knowledge to solve problems in creative ways

 

 QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience

  •  High School degree or equivalent required
  •  Currently enrolled in a computer science, information technology, or related degree program
  •  Students with previous course work in accounting, finance, or related business courses given preference

 

Position Information

 Status: Temporary, Non-Exempt

 Salary: $20 per hour

 Work Arrangement: On-site
