Pavement Services Intern

Do you want to learn more about highway construction and contribute to a safer and more efficient transportation system? Would you like to gain experience in quality assurance, project design processes and data collection? We are seeking an intern to work up to six months with our Statewide Project Delivery Branch’s Construction Section in the Pavement Services Unit. This internship is projected to start in June 2025 through September 2025. The posted salary/pay range for this announcement is based on full-time hours; the salary will be prorated for part-time hours.

Minimum qualifications:

 

We are accepting applications from college students who start their freshman year at the time of hire (June 2025), and college students in their freshman, sophomore, junior and/or senior year who are studying civil engineering, construction management or related fields of study.

OR

First or second year graduate students in civil engineering, construction management or related fields of study.

 

Special qualifications:

 

Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
