
Wine Tour Operations & Social Media Intern
About Idaho Wine Tours:
Idaho Wine Tours is a premier wine tour company in the Treasure Valley, offering curated experiences for newbies and wine enthusiasts alike. Our mission is to provide guests with memorable, well-organized, and enjoyable wine tours while supporting local wineries.
We are seeking a motivated and creative Summer Intern to assist with key operational and marketing tasks. This is an amazing opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in tourism, event planning, social media marketing, and small business operations.
Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
- Create engaging social media content tailored to our audience (posts, stories, reels, etc.).
- Schedule and implement posts across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook).
- Creation and management of Linked in Page.
- Monitor engagement metrics and suggest strategies to enhance our online presence.
Tour Coordination
- Design customized tour itineraries that provide exceptional guest experiences.
- Make reservations with partner wineries and other vendors.
- Communicate tour details to attendees, ensuring they receive their itineraries promptly.
- Order supplies needed for the smooth operation of tours (e.g., snacks, water, promotional items).
Process Development
- Assist in developing and streamlining operational processes to enhance efficiency.
- Create templates or tools for itinerary planning, reservation tracking, and guest communications.
Administrative Support
- Manage correspondence with wineries and vendors to maintain strong partnerships.
- Respond to guest inquiries via email or social media platforms as needed.
Additional Responsibilities (as time allows):
- Contribute ideas for promotions or special events to boost engagement and bookings.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing guest feedback to improve service quality.
- Support the development of marketing materials such as flyers, email campaigns, or blog posts.
Ideal Candidate:
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong interest in wine, tourism, and hospitality (21+ preferred due to nature of the business).
- Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, Later).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Creative mindset with the ability to propose new ideas for social media and operations.
Education:
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program related to marketing, communications, business, hospitality, or a related field.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not Required):
- Familiarity with the Treasure Valley wine scene.
- Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Spark.
- Previous experience in event planning, marketing, or customer service.

*This internship will run May - Aug 2025.
