International Affairs Intern

Internship Location
Primarily remote, with the opportunity to meet in person once a week or as determined by the intern and Petra Global Affairs, LLC. Meetings will take place in the Boise area when scheduled. 

 

Internship Timeframe
May 1 2025 – August 15 2025
Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, for a maximum of 160 hours.

 

Compensation
$16.50 per hour, paid by Boise State College of Business and Economics

 

Internship Overview / Description
The International Affairs Intern will support Petra Global Affairs in advancing projects related to international trade, market development, and global policy. Tasks may include:

  • Assisting in the development of educational materials on international trade and market access.
  • Managing Petra Global Affairs' online presence, including updating content and implementing strategies to enhance visibility.
  • Supporting account management and business development efforts.
  • Conducting research and analysis on trade policies, U.S. government programs, and geopolitical trends.
  • Networking and attending relevant meetings within the Boise area alongside Petra Global Affairs representatives.

 

This internship offers a dynamic experience for students interested in international business, trade, and policy, providing opportunities to build professional skills in a flexible and supportive environment.

 

Requirements / Desired Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in International Business, Political Science, or Economics (junior or senior standing preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of U.S. politics and/or geopolitics is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
