Job Description

Business Process Analyst 1 Position Overview

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities is seeking a Business Process Analyst 1. This person will play an important role in identifying, documenting, and analyzing business requirements for the implementation of IT solutions. This position serves as a liaison between various stakeholders, including IT, business staff, and internal/external customers, ensuring effective communication and the successful delivery of projects.

 
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be tasked with creating process visualizations and other documents to aid in IT projects and effectively communicate solutions to stakeholders. This includes documenting current and proposed business processes using data visualization software, generating detailed documentation of business requirements and processes, and creating reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Business Process Analyst 1 Duties:

  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and other meetings with stakeholders to discuss and document business requirements, desired   features, objectives, and acceptance criteria
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure successful communication between project team members
  • Conduct research and provide consultation on solutions to address business requirements
  • Evaluate proposed and existing processes for inefficiencies and offer solutions to customers
  • Provide project planning and coordination for IT projects
  • Lead demonstration meetings to showcase proposed solutions and confirm requirements are me
  • Obtain customer documentation to ensure all requirements have been fulfilled before pushing solutions to production

A Successful Business Process Analyst 1 Has:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to develop reports, present findings, and interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using task management, data visualization, and other relevant software
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
  • Proficiency in using reporting software, spreadsheets, and other office technologies
  • Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and recommend solutions
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Division of Information Technology

The Division of Information Technology (IT) supports OOD's mission by engaging with our partners to provide solutions that solve business needs. Our services include strategic planning, project management, business requirements gathering, development, quality assurance testing, help desk support, security, database design and implementation, systems support and operations.

This position shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of the OCSEA  Collective Bargaining Agreement. Qualifications

36 months' combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems and 18 months' combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration and 12 months' combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.

-Or equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.
