Overview of Organization: The organization grants life-changing wishes to children facing critical illnesses.
Overview of Intern’s Project:
Make-A-Wish Idaho hosts two unique events every year: The Gebert-Arbaugh Polar Bear Challenge and Serving Up Wishes. While our website hosts event pages for upcoming events, it does not host evergreen content about these events. According to our Google Analytics, we are missing out on a lot of web traffic and possible conversions because we don’t have permanent SEO articles on our site.
The intern would be tasked with creating two 1000+-word, well-researched articles about The Gebert-Arbaugh Polar Bear Challenge and Serving Up Wishes (co-hosted by BSU) to sit in perpetuity on our website and collect web traffic that we might be missing out on.. If this work is completed in less than 25 hours, the intern will interview and write a 500+ word article about a wish alum (a wish family member who had their wish or their child’s wish granted in the recent past) which will be hosted on our alumni page.
The intern will also be charged with selecting photos for the project.
Skills Intern Will Develop (list 2-5 skills):
- Writing
- Writing for SEO
- Research/Interview
