OVERVIEW OF THE ORGANIZATION AND THE ROLE
The Idaho Hispanic Foundation (IHF) is dedicated to empowering Idaho’s Hispanic and underserved communities through education, workforce development, entrepreneurial support, and cultural enrichment. Our programs provide critical resources, connections, and training to individuals and small businesses, ensuring economic and social growth.
As a Program Coordinator Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting and executing key initiatives that directly impact the community. This internship is structured around meaningful projects, offering hands-on experience in program coordination, event planning, community engagement, and data management.
OPPORTUNITY / PROJECT DUTIES
1. Program Support &; Coordination
- Project: Assist in the planning and execution of a community-focused program or event.
- Support event logistics, scheduling, and coordination for program cohorts.
- Help develop outreach strategies to increase community participation.
2. Client Engagement & Support
- Project: Create and implement a client relationship strategy to improve service delivery.
- Work directly with community members, ensuring they receive the appropriate resources.
- Assist with intake, follow-ups, and maintaining communication with program
- participants.
3. Process Improvement & Operational Support
- Project: Analyze and refine a specific operational process to enhance efficiency.
- Support the team in maintaining accurate client and contractor profiles.
- Assist in improving administrative workflows and program tracking.
4. Program Tracking & Impact Analysis
- Project: Develop a method to measure program effectiveness and present findings.
- Track program milestones, progress, and engagement levels.
- Help assess program outcomes by gathering and analyzing data.
5. Data Integrity & Compliance
- Project: Audit program data to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational
- standards.
- Assist with maintaining data management systems and reports.
- Ensure all processes adhere to regulations and best practices.
6. Team Collaboration & Professional Development
- Project: Contribute to team meetings and provide support on cross-functional initiatives.
- Gain exposure to nonprofit program management and develop leadership skills.
- Assist in brainstorming and implementing innovative solutions to community challenges.
