Marketing & Development Intern - Habitat For Humanity

OVERVIEW OF THE ORGANIZATION AND THE ROLE: Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity (TVHFH) works to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to families in our community.  Your role is to assist Habitat’s Marketing Manager in performing various marketing and communications tasks including, but not limited to, writing and posting messages on social media; creating short videos; writing impact stories; graphic design; event coordination.

OPPORTUNITY / PROJECT DUTIES

  • Themed Media Campaign Develop and execute a month-long themed social media campaign (e.g. "Volunteer Spotlight" or "Build Week Highlights") with scheduled posts, graphics, and hashtags.
  • Instagram Reel Series- ReStore Launch a weekly Instagram Reels series featuring behind-the-scenes footage from Habitat ReStore, DIY tips, renovation ideas etc. .
  • Instagram Reel Series- Home Ownership/Affordable Housing  Launch a weekly Instagram Reels series featuring behind-the-scenes footage from Habitat builds, highlighting the social, economical, and health impact of home ownership on community, and how it benefits all.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, especially Instagram and Facebook
  • Interest in storytelling, affordable housing, or nonprofit work
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus but not required
  • Experience with or interest in video creation/editing is a bonus
