I really enjoyed working along side an internal medicine doctor. They have such a broad set of skills and knowledge that I loved to be able to learn and understand.
What I wish was different
Definitely the pay. Being a Scribe, I feel like we put in so much work for such little pay.

-Participated in resume screenings, phone interviews, creating job offers, and sourcing candidates that matched the required criteria.
-Attended recruiting events at various location across the Treasure Valley
I loved job shadowing the real life of a recruiter to see if I could see myself doing it. It was one of the most impactful experiences of undergraduate school.
What I wish was different
It was unpaid, but I loved the experience. I was hired directly after the internship!
Advice
Treat internships like one long interview. Show up on time, ask questions, be present, and build relationships with all who you encounter because those relationships will help you as you build your career.

I highly recommended anyone wanting to be in healthcare to consider doing this position. You get to interact with all members of the health care team and see how the hospital works.

What I liked
My colleagues took the time to train me and educate me as often as possible. They are always trying to help me learn new concepts and explain things to me. It has been an excellent environment for learning.
What I wish was different
I wish going into the job I knew more about the position and the role I would have, I did not know it was inpatient acute rehab, I thought it was at a clinic. I don’t mind, and I love the job, but would’ve liked to know before the job interview.
Advice
This has been the best learning experience of my life, and will be an experience I build on and utilize for the rest of my education and career path. I highly recommend a career here, everyone has taken a great amount of time to help me learn more every day.

More patient contact, as aides, we just get to do set ups with the patients.
Advice
Get to know the staff. they are all super welcoming and fun. plan things outside of work and get to know your coworkers and build a personal relationship with them.

It is hard balancing a full time job with full time school. So I wish I went part-time.
Advice
It was a great experience, I am still working there and it has been about 2 1/2 years. My only advice would be to make sure you can handle full-time work and school.
